Vibetown are an amazing 6-piece function group that was formed in 2005 whilst studying for their degrees at Leeds College of Music. It was here that the group found a common passion for playing Funk, Soul and Pop, whilst also enjoying the challenge of adding new genres and amalgamations of styles to their repertoire. During their finals each member of the band achieved outstanding 1st class honors for their performance modules.

Since graduating they have not only established themselves among the top session players in the North but also as one of the most exciting new party bands in the UK.

The band have a great personal and professional attitude and can be guarantee to create an upbeat and exciting atmosphere at any party or corporate event.

Emily Lynn – Vocals

An outstanding female vocalist and a recent MA (Masters) Graduate from Leeds College of Music. Emily is a sought after vocalist in the Leeds music scene and gigs regularly with different bands and a capella ensembles including The Three Fivers & Dolly Pop. Her vocal prowess is guaranteed to whip any audience into a frenzy, leaving them stunned at her shear vocal brilliance.

 Laura-Jayne Hunter – Vocals
An original artists in her own right, Laura-Jayne is a sought after session singer. She was one of five acts chosen to represent Ireland in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest eventually making it to the televised finals on Irelands RTE One TV channel. Laura has recently come off a successful UK Arena tour singer backing vocals for V.V.Brown.

Dan Stapleton – Guitar & Backing Vocals
Dan is an accomplished guitar player having gigged & recorded throughout the UK & Ireland since his teenage years, amassing an immeasurable amount of experience along the way. Currently teaching guitar at Leeds University, Dan’s other musical projects include playing guitar for Leeds based artist Charlie Bath as well as providing string duties for the Irish based Electro-Pop band The Maximals.

Rob Yeo – Keys/Synths & Backing Vocals
A recent MA (Masters) graduate from Leeds College of music, Rob is not only a virtuosic Piano player, taking styles such as Blues, Rock, Pop Soul & Jazz effortlessly in his stride but he is also a sought after musician amongst the Leeds Music Scene. Rob can currently be seen gigging throughout the north with his newly formed Funk outfit Caterpillar.

Matt Sim – Bass
Matt is an accomplished bass player and international session musician. Currently providing bass duties for the EMI signed artist Ashley Hickelin, Matt is accustomed to doing studio work with producers who’s credits include such artists as Mariah Carey & Madonna amongst others. Besides his session work, Matt also plays in numerous original outfits such as the Leeds based band New York Drama Club.
