Andy Leek & The Blue Angels' work extensively throughout the UK and abroad performing their unique blend of party classics, pop, rock n roll, soul, disco, jazz and up-to-date favourites!
With both male and female lead vocals, they can provide at least one No.1 hit for every year from 1950 through to 2001! Including everything from The Beatles to The Bee Gee's, Frank Sinatra to Tina Turner, Dusty Springfield to Robbie Williams!
Fronted by Dexy's original keyboard player, Andy Leek, this band can be booked as a 4, 5 or 6 piece, at varying prices to suit all budgets.

Andy first came to fame at the tender age of sixteen, as keyboard player in Dexy's Midnight Runners, playing on the one million selling hit 'Geno'.
His own single, 'Move On In Your Maserati', made the British Top 40 in 1981.
He then formed the, now legendary, 'Blue Ox Babes', who became the prototype and inspiration for Dexy's greatest hit, 'Come On Eileen'.
In 1986, Andy wrote the hit single 'Twist In The Dark' for Frida of Swedish superstars ABBA. This hit the number one spot in France and Italy and sold over half a million copies.
In 1987 Andy starred alongside Billie Whitelaw as an aspiring songwriter in the Tony Klinger produced movie 'Promo-Man'.
In 1990 he released a debut album consisting of songs written and arranged entirely by him. This was produced by the legendary Beatles producer, Sir George Martin and featured world-famous musicians such as Steve Howe of 'Yes', Peter Vitesse of 'Go West', Mo Gibson on bass and Alan Murphy of 'Level 42'. It received great critical acclaim and sold over 250,000 copies throughout the world.
Andy then wrote a musical interpretation of a Dylan Thomas poem which was recorded and released by Tom Jones. He studied composition at Cardiff University, formed his own band and toured extensively throughout Britain and Europe.
In 1996 he released his anthem for world peace 'All Around The World' and sang it live on cable TV, broadcast throughout seven countries. This hit the number 4 spot in the German charts and was subsequently recorded by various other artists.

In June 1999 Andy played to over 10,000 people at the Norwich Music festival as well as finding the time to appear on BBC2's "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" and BBC1's "Children in Need" three years running.

The year 2000 saw saw a change of mood with Andy's second album 'Sacrifice and Bliss' which he produced himself. A truly stunning collection of songs that combine some extraordinary lyrics with powerful and haunting melodies.
His single 'Forgotten People', a song about the homeless, is featuring on many radio stations and on the Spanish compilation album 'Interventa' which is currently No.1 in the Spanish charts.

One song in particular caught the attention of the producers of Superventa. The result is that "Forgotten People," a searing indictment on the subject of homelessness, featured on many European radio stations and is one of the songs on the compilation album that was number one for several weeks.
In 2003 Andy featured in the BBC Documentary about Dexy's Midnight Runners called "Young Guns."
In 2005 Andy is as busy as ever. He is working hard with the Blue Angels band bringing live music to venues all over the country, putting together new material for another album and writing a novel.
